Kudzai wekwa Chundu (Folktale)

I was in Hurungwe kwa Chundu visiting my rural home after many heartbreaks multiple failed marriages.I decided go to the village to get bit of fresh air and clear my head.

My mom had things that needed to be done in Hurungwe so I took the opportunity to do it on her behalf.

While in the village, one day a sweet beautiful girl came to visit me after hearing I was in Chundu. It was Kudzai . Her late mom had been a good friend of my mother for years. I had last saw her in 1995. I hadn't seen her in years and I was happy to see her so grown.

She was also excited to see me and jokingly expressed I had forgotten about her in the village. She was now so beautiful and now a mature woman. She was true definition of beauty.

At that moment all my past life had completely been erased from my data center in my head.We went down memories of life. She had also gone through hard life and marriages because she was failing to get pregnant.

I saw a strong bond between Kudzi and I.I told her I was going to be her man. She laughed saying what had happened to city girls. I took her hand looked in her eyes and told her she was the one for me. She blushed and we looked at each other while a slow kiss on its way. Thunder striked and rain started pouring then I carried her to my room.

We kissed and I undressed Kudzi.I closed the door while she looked outside the window and said it was amazing how suddenly it started raining, I told her it was a blessing being with her.

She went on to sit on the bed and that moment she asked me what was my intention with her cause and was I going accept her with what had happened in her past life or I just wanted to eat the cake and move on.

I assured her my love was real and had being trying to find my true love in a long time but not finding my match. She didn't believe me and said boys just say things when they want something.I convinced her my intentions were from my heart.

She calmly slept on my bed while waiting for me lock up the huts at my place. The rest is history we all know what happened that night.

She spent a few more days at my place as my wife and we got along well.

She did all the house chores like a proper trained African Women, a true wife material.I had truly found the one I had been looking for for years. I informed my relatives of my intentions to go with her and make her my wife. They agreed and I gave them Tsvagirai kuno to send to her parents.

The day before we left she prayed that we have a beautiful and peaceful relationship and be blessed in all we do together for our future.I left Hurungwe a happy man.

The next morning we left Chundu to Karoi town to catch the CAG Travellers Coaches from Zvipani to Bulawayo.

9 months later we had our first son then 3 years later we had our second son. More children are on their way. God blessed us.

Moral : When you get to a no through road , reverse and find another route.

Its not the end of life, other opportunities will come don't give after a few failures.

The End
